The World Health Organisation (WHO) in Lesotho says the development of the National Action Plan for Health Security, is essential for the country.

Mr. Mohlakola Hlabana from WHO, says the Plan should guide the country in transiting from one stage to another, and emphasized that its everyone’s responsibility to ensure health security in the country.

The Minister of Health Mr. Nyapane Kaya says the government of Lesotho, is committed to supporting the National Plan for Health Security.
Kaya says the Plan is a national instrument that will help the country, to ensure preparedness towards emergency response.
This Plan is intended to ensure strengthened health security capacity, early detection of health emergencies and events as well as rapid response to them.
