Maesaiah Thabane Trust Fund will host a diabetes education campaign this weekend on Saturday at Moshoeshoe I statue in Maseru, as part of World Diabetes Day commemoration.

The expectation of this Fund through this campaign is to encourage healthy eating, exercising, testing for diabetes and increase knowledge on affordable and equitable access for all citizens at risk of being diabetic.

The campaign will be done under the theme “woman and diabetes-our right to a healthy future.” This theme is said to be promoting the importance of affordable access to essential diabetes medicines for all women at risk of being diabetic, self-management education, achieving diabetes outcome and strengthening their capacity to prevent type 2 diabetes.
