The Lesotho Defence Force Public Relations Officer Brigadier Ntlele Ntoi has been apprehended at Maseru Police Headquarters.

According to police’s spokesperson Inspector Mpiti Mopeli, Ntoi was taken in on Monday morning to assist police with information related to crimes that brought the country into political and security instability.

Mopeli says at the moment, it cannot be said what kind of charge Ntoi will be facing, and says it will it only be known whether he will be charged or not at the end of interrogation.

This follows the arrest of nine members of the army last week in connection with the death of former army Commander, Brigadier Maaparankoe Mahao who was assassinated at Mokema in 2015.
