The minister of water Hon Samonyane Ntsekele says the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority has awarded the contract for designing and supervising the construction of the Polihali water transfer tunnel, the largest of all the phase II engineering design contracts to Metsi a Senqu-Khubelu consultant’s joint venture.

Ntsekele said this during the media briefing held in Maseru, where he indicated that the contract of over M900 million commenced in December 2017. He said the venture is a combination of local, regional and international tunnel experts well qualified to deliver on the brief within the timeframe.
