Home Affairs Principal Secretary Mrs. ‘Machaba Lemphane Letsie says the ministry has requested another meeting with their South African counterparts regarding Lesotho Special Permits.

Letsie said they intend to hold a meeting with their South African Counterparts to sort out issues pertaining to the permits as there are a lot of challenges that Basotho are now facing, citing those who have received a feedback of rejection after applying for Lesotho Special Permits.

She explained that over one thousand Basotho who had applied for these permits have been rejected while some who couldn’t collect their permits still haven’t received them to date.
Lesotho Special permits were introduced to allow Basotho to work in South Africa legally without having to break rules and regulations.
