Lesotho Police Staff Association (LEPOSA) has called the Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) by appealing to the party to stop politicizing its 6 percent negotiations.
LEPOSA is currently engaging the government of Lesotho to revise its decision to not include police officers in a 2015 salary increase which was given to public servants, excluding the police.
It is in this regard that LEPOSA alleges that LCD through its Public Relations Officer, Teboho Sekata went to a local radio station to pledge its support and commended the association for standing up to the government and wanting it to revisit the matter.
Meanwhile, LEPOSA Media Liaison Officer, Inspector Atang Hlapane confirmed that his association has written to LCD to inform its committee and PRO to not get involved in police issues, and said the party is only serving its interests by politicizing the negotiations.
