The first lady, Mrs. ‘Maesiah Thabane will celebrate her birthday in Mokhotlong from the 13th to the 14th of this month.

The press secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Thabo Thakalekoala says in celebration of the first lady’s birthday, there will be a soccer tournament which will be held in Mokhotlong which will be between the teams that fall under Mokhotlong region versus Senqu region. Thakakoala indicated that the games will start this Friday and end on Saturday, and mentioned that the winning team will walk away with a medal.

The soccer tournament is sponsored by fourteen companies that include Matekane group of companies, Lesotho Steal and Liqhobong Diamond. Meanwhile, the first lady’s spouse Dr. Motsoahae Thabane as well as Mokhotlong community are expected to attend the event. Mrs. Maesiah Thabane was born in Mokhotlong on the 16th of April 1977.
