A 17-year-old herd-boy of Ha Tlai-Tlai Thaba Tseka and two other men aged 20 and 26 respectively from Qoqolosing, are in police custody faced with a murder charge after they burned to death a 65-year-old elderly woman together with her husband aged 75, claiming that they are bewitching them.

According to Public relations officer, Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli, the first suspect indicated that he consulted a traditional doctor in relation to his two siblings’ death and was told that they were bewitched by the elderly woman (deceased). Mopeli therefore cautioned the public to stop killing innocent souls for suspecting them of witchcraft, saying this leads to children being orphans as a result of losing their parents.
