The Minister of Communications, Science and Technology, Chief Thesele ‘Maseribana says Makoanyane accident where 15 passengers died as a result of overturning of a minibus has been declared as a disaster by the office of the Prime Minister.

Thesele said this while addressing the bereaved families, victims of the incident including members of the community at a public gathering held in Ribaneng, Maphongoane yesterday.

He informed the bereaved families that the government of Lesotho will assist with uniform coffins, transport and food to be eaten during the funeral service, and further stated that the government of Lesotho is willing to work cooperatively with all the bereaved families to ensure respectful burial of the deceased, saying they are free to choose dates for burying their loved ones.
