Families of the people who burned to death at an accident that occurred last month on the R26 road between Fouriesburg and Bethlehem will finally have the chance to bury their loved ones as DNA results have been completed.
Bethlehem Police Cluster Spokesperson Captain Zweli Mohobeleli said 10 out of 11 bodies have been positively identified saying collected DNA samples are being matched to the remaining body by forensics.
He stated that all families were summoned to Fouriesburg and Bethlehem on Tuesday as part of the identification process saying that bodies will soon be released to the bereaved families.
On the other hand Traffic Commissioner, Mrs. ‘Mathabo Ts’osane indicated that the government will work together with the families to ensure that the deceased get dignified burial.
