Johnson workers suspend strike

Workers of Johnson Manufacturing in Maputsoe have suspended their strike after 2 days since its beginning.
Mr. Tsepang Makakole of National Clothing Textile and Allied Workers Union-NACTWU said a decision to suspend the strike comes after the police dispersed masses of workers on Tuesday as well as harassing them.
Makokole indicated that they are doing this to ensure safety of the workers, saying workers were expected to report back to work today. He indicated that other workers were given papers allowing them entry into the factory while others were given dismissal letters which indicated that they were dismissed with immediate effect.
He stated that they intend to take the matter to the courts of law.
