Two members of the Lesotho Defence Force who are currently detained at the Lesotho Correctional Services where they await charges of murder have filed an application at the High Court in which they want to be released on bail.Lance Corporal Leutsoa Motsieloa and Corporal Ts’itso Ramoholi have been in LCS detention after they were arrested in 2017 and are charged with the murders of Lesotho Mounted Police Service’s Sub-Inspector Mokheseng Ramahloko and former army Commander Lieutenant General Maaparankoe Mahao respectively.
The respondents in the case are the Director of Public Prosecutions, Commissioner of LCS, the Minister of Justice, the Attorney General and the Transformation Resource Centre.
