This years’ celebration of His Majesty King Letsie III birthday which was supposed to be celebrated in Berea will not be celebrated in the usual manner due to covid-19 pandemic.

According to a press release form the office of the government spokesperson the government made this decision in order to ensure that the country observes World Health Organizations protocols to avoid the spread of covid-19. It stated that the awards to civilians with outstanding performance will be done at the Royal Palace on the 17th July; and there will be no celebrations at the district level.

The nation has been advised to convey warm birthday messages to the King regardless of the prevailing situation.
