The Ministry of Education and Training and MIET Africa strive to ensure the welfare of children in order to reduce the occurrence of pregnancy and violence within communities.
This, the Chief Education Officer Secondary Mrs. ‘Mabakubung Seutloali said on behalf of the Minister of Education and Training at the launch of giving out food parcels by MIET Africa. She added that their intention is to reduce or prevent poverty which may lead to other challenges in the lives of children, so that they can focus of their studies.
COVID-19 In-Country Coordinator Ms. Puleng Thinya said their organisation aims to improve the lives of children through responding to their needs. She added that this initiative will assist children to sustain their lives with the much needed food during this time.
One of the beneficiaries Keneuoe Marai thanked MIET Africa for responding to their essential needs during this time when they felt more vulnerable.
She added that they also appreciate all the efforts made by the Ministry of Education as well as their teachers in ensuring the success of this event.
