Parents and guardians throughout the country have been encouraged to promote education on COVID-19 pandemic to their children.
The Director of Lesotho Child and Counselling Unit Ms Lydia ‘Muso says with schools closed, parents and guardians should ensure that children are always updated about COVID-19.
She pointed out that children should always be reminded of their responsibilities to ensure their own safety adding that with constant education, they will be able to stay safe at all times. She remarked that the use of masks among children is a challenge, adding that some of the children especially those in rural areas do not have access to the masks.
‘Muso said the current situation does not only require parents and guardians to focus on health, but also on safety and welfare.
