Members of Lesotho Defense Force who are stationed at the borderline in Leribe have successfully rescued 80 sheep from Mokhotlong in the villages of Bobatsi and Thabang where they were about to cross illegally to South Africa to be sold.

LDF report states that in their “operation save life” LDF members called a group of men from Maputsoe who are reported to help people cross the river illegally to South Africa with the intention to interrogate them on allegations that they also claim to be members of LDF taking people’s money and property against their will using guns, knives and swords to do all sorts of illegal activities.

LDF management has appealed to Basotho to be aware of these kind of people who do illegal activities under LDF’s name.
