At least 50 girls from different villages within Pitseng in Leribe have received reusable sanitary towels

At least 50 girls from different villages within Pitseng in Leribe have received reusable sanitary towels from Women in Dialogue Association at the event held at Pitseng earlier this week.

The girls were chosen from villages such as Mphosong, Tsoinyane and Ha-Makateng while Women in Dialogue was supported by Mine Workers Development Agency and Amazing Zone.

Speaking at the event, the Member of Parliament who is also a member of Women in Dialogue Mrs. ‘Mathato Phafoli said the sanitary towels are of great use especially that most of the girls need them sincerely.

She indicated that it is high time that the developments as these are not only being recognized and made use in towns but should also be of benefit to rural people.

Mrs. Phafoli appealed to the girls to use the sanitary towels wisely and keep them clean for they will take years and not to use the bags used for storing the towels for other purposes such as shopping but keep them safe at home.
