country’s legislature says the National Covid-19 Secretariat has been established to promote corruption

The country’s legislature says the National Covid-19 Secretariat has been established to promote corruption.

This was established during the meeting of Members of Parliament, Senators and Civil Society Organizations where one of the Senators, the Principal Chief of Thaba-Bosiu Chief Khoabane Theko said since its formation in June, it has not done anything towards curbing Coronavirus.

He said Personal Protective Equipment has been donated by different companies, organisations as well as other countries but surprisingly health centres still lack PPE and their offices as Principal Chiefs, yet they are expected to have sanitizers while offering services.

On the other hand, the Member of Parliament for Semena Constituency Hon. Tlohelang Aumane indicated that NACOSEC is not reaching out to the communities saying that to date Village Health Workers have not received workshops on covid-19.
