Thaba-Tseka District Administrator has expressed gratitude to Sam Matekane Foundation

Thaba-Tseka District Administrator has expressed gratitude to Sam Matekane Foundation for presenting bags of cabbage to the informal traders whose businesses were hit hard by COVID 19.

The Administrator said this after the foundation donated 159 bags of cabbage to 53 identified informal traders in Thaba Tseka town. He said he is pleased to see the foundation extending a helping hand to small businesses which had been deeply affected by the lockdown since 2020.

On behalf of the donors, Mr. Motjoka Matekane said Matekane Group of Companies has helped with the formation of the Sam Matekane Foundation which is now presenting vegetable stock to the informal traders.

He advised the informal traders to start planting their own vegetables which they will sell, adding that the cabbage that is presented to them was planted in Mants’onyane, Ha Leronti in November by residents for commercial purpose.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Mamoliki Lekhera thanked the Foundation for realising that the informal traders had been hit hard by COVID 19 and did not have capital to start businesses again.
