Her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso has strongly appealed to government, the business community, development partners and community leaders to ensure availability of clean water to Basotho countrywide.

This she said in her message yesterday to celebrate World Water Day which was organized by World Vision Lesotho where she said the availability of water will help avoid dire consequences in the lives of the nation, adding that it will also help improve economic growth of the country.

She added that it will help in good health especially for children as they are future leaders of Lesotho. She noted that the day reminds them of the importance of water and to ensure that it is accessible for the benefit of the nation, plants and animals as well.

World Water Day is annually commemorated on March 22.
