The disappearance of two male learners of Lerotholi Polytechnic, remains a mystery as their bodies have still not been found, a month since they disappeared.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Snr Sup. Mpiti Mopeli said the bodies of the two learners have still not been found despite police divers’ efforts to search for them in the Caledon River.

Mopeli indicated that the search party had reached already Mafeteng but have still not found the duo, but instead recovered two other bodies of a man and a woman who were also reported missing.

The two learners are believed to have drowned on February 18 during what is said to be a ritual for new learners to fit into the school community.

Earlier this month, their families said they just wanted to see the remains of their loved ones so they can have closure. The students who disappeared are 20-year Mohloboli Leanya and 22-year old Tseko Malokotsa.
