Classes for visually impaired persons aged 60 years and below resumed as planned at Mohloli oa Bophelo Rehabilitation Centre in Maseru last week Monday.
Lesotho National League for Visually Impaired Persons (LNLVIP) Chairperson, Mr. Jeremane Teele, said this follows an agreement between the government and LNLVIP Sponsor Norwegian Association.
Teele said the Ministry of Education has provided the centre with four teachers, adding to three teachers at the centre, while on the other hand
they are still expecting a nurse and a social worker from the Ministries of Health and Social Development.
He stated that the trainees, whom majority were not born blind are trained on Braille writing, mobility and orientation, computer, arts and crafts and home economics.
