Patients at St. Joseph’s hospital in Roma are not pleased that the hospital does not offer services on weekends.

They said this has been going on for some time now, where patients are returned on weekends as there are no services.

The Hospital’s Assistant Administrator Mr. Sefanka Lenkoe said they have been having problems of medical doctors since August last year, when some of them were found to be working illegally in the country, which led to a shortage of doctors.

Lenkoe said, their departure left the hospital with only two doctors who have to serve the entire hospital on a 24-hour shift, something he said is not easy since they need to rest as well.

He however mentioned that, they are expecting 3 doctors from next month, and hopefully, this will change their current situation.
