The National Reforms Authority-NRA has so far developed reports and drafted bills that were submitted to Parliament for scrutiny and adoption.

NRA’s Media Representative Mr. Nkoale Oetsi-Tšoana says amongst others, the authority has passed the Referendum Bill which was tabled before Parliament and referred to the relevant Portfolio Committee, National Media Policy which was duly adopted by Parliament and the National Media Code of Conduct, Behaviour and Good Practice which was presented at its 11th Ordinary sitting last April.

Tšoana explained that NRA also developed a three-tiered approach of addressing the reforms agenda, with particular emphasis placed on constitutional amendments for legislative, policy and regulatory reform decisions.

Other notable achievements were the establishment of the National Stakeholders Forum on Sustainable Peace, National Unity and Reconciliation, which was held in July last year and the holding of

The National Security Policy and Strategies Roadmap Formulation and Validation Workshops.

Tšoana stressed that Reforms are a long and ongoing exercise with results categorised in short, medium and long term timelines and that all stakeholders need to ensure their continuation and sustainability, even post the NRA.
