Lesotho Red Cross Society School Feeding Project’s Manager, Mr. Mokholoane Sefatsana says, clean environment and feeding scheme are vital as they assist students to focus on their studies.
Sefatsana said through school feeding scheme, students, parents and teachers learn more about how to produce their own vegetables for consumption. He noted that this is to incorporate all they have developed in and out of school trainings at the district of Butha-Buthe.
He revealed that they continue to provide training to primary school students and teachers from Khatibe, Mantlobo, Jane, Rehauhetsoe, ‘Moteng Community and ‘Moteng Roman Catholic Primary Schools.
Sefatsana highlighted that they have also provided those schools with vegetables and fruit trees seedlings for sustainability of the feeding project. He also pointed out that they taught them about child protection, in including the procedures to follow when reporting abuse cases.
