Chieftainess ‘Masempe Selebalo of Ha Ntholi in Leribe has appealed to her villagers to work together and come up with strategies to stop brutal killings which usually occur during festive season.

Chieftainess Selebalo said, it is important to work together with security agencies in finding ways to fight crime. She explained that it is disheartening that these brutal killings are usually perpetrated by the youth, as in most cases, they are found with body parts.

She also said that it is the responsibility of all in the district, to ensure the safety of children and the elderly.

In December last year, an 18-year-old boy was brutally killed on his way from Malaoaneng Ha Seetsa to Ha Ntholi, bringing to 3, the number of killings reported in that area recently.
