The nation is encouraged to stick to their budgets when shopping to avoid impulsive buying.
The Ministry of Trade’s Consumer Education Officer, Ms. Lucy Thekiso said impulsive buying has negative impact on one’s finances, as it affects future responsibilities.
Mrs. Thekiso said they should also remember that the goal of business owners is to maximize profits, therefore, they need to avoid being persuaded to buy what they do not need.
She also said as schools have just re-opened, parents should save every cent so that they can respond to their children’s school needs which include school fees, stationery and uniform to mention but a few.
She concluded by encouraging people to remember adhering to covid-19 regulations when they go shopping.
