The Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Law and Constitutional Affairs Mr Retselisitsoe Mohale has encouraged staff from Quthing Department of Lesotho Correctional Services, to work as a team and avoid criminal acts that tarnish the institution.

Speaking during his familiarization tour at the Quthing LCS, Mohale noted that, criminal acts that include demanding money from the community with false promises that they will be recruited in the institution, makes the community to loose trust in officers of the institution

He added that they are in the process of addressing LCS’ challenges such as lack of uniform, transport and restarting of suspended income generation activities and most importantly, lack of funds.

LCS Commissioner Mating Nkakala encouraged his staff to avoid establishing criminal teams within the institution as such promote infighting and unnecessary conflicts.
