Members of Mohale ‘s Hoek District Wool and Mohair Growers Association will meet tomorrow to prepare for small stock farmers day scheduled for next month in the district.
The District association’s chairperson, Mr. Tsikela Lillane said last year the farmers could not observe their day due to Covid-19, but this year they will converge at Taung in order to assess their achievement in small stock production.
He indicated that the farmers will this year only meet at the district level where they will select the small stock to compete at the national level.
Lillane added that the farmers will be expected to display merino sheep and angora goats and their produce at the show with a view to improve quality of wool and mohair adding that they will also be able to exchange ideas concerning livestock production.
