National AIDS Commission’s Mrs Jacqueline Makakha pointed out that, the country is dealing with various illnesses including covid-19 which has made it difficult to focus more on issues on community led monitoring of HIV/AIDS.

National AIDS Commission’s Mrs Jacqueline  Makakha pointed out that, the country is dealing with various illnesses including covid-19 which has made it difficult to focus more on issues on  community led monitoring of HIV/AIDS.

Makakha also said Tubercolosis infections have skyrocketed in the country, however, she congratulated civil societies for the work they have done thus far.

The US President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief-PEPFAR’s Head Dr.Meg Raj Jagriti said, they are willing to help support this initiative where they will focus on 16 government and CHAL’s hospitals and clinics in the country.

PEPFAR’s Activity manager Mmamathula Makhotla said they are working hard to ensure quality programs that ensure quality services for people living with HIV and as thus, have unveiled funding to help Community Led Monitoring activities in different communities

The goal of this initiative is to stimulate positive and corrective action that improve access, uptake and the quality of health services.
