The National COVID-19 Secretariat’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Thabo Ntoi says, youth from the age of 12 to 17 should continue accessing Pfizer to ensure their safety and protect themselves against illnesses and deaths related to COVID-19.

Ntoi said this vaccine has proved to be safe for both adults and youth as it is mild and that, they have not received any negative reports regarding its administering.

He said they have realized that as a result of rolling-out vaccination in the country, illness and death rates have decreased despite festive season festivities.

He said working together with partners, they administered the first and second doses to both adults and children and thatvthey continue visiting schools to administer the vaccine to school children.
