The SADC Regional Coordination Mechanism delegation visited the Lesotho and Tanzanian armies’ contingents deployed in the district of Nangade in Cabo Delgado province of Mozambique.

The SADC Regional Coordination Mechanism delegation visited the Lesotho and Tanzanian armies’ contingents deployed in the district of Nangade in Cabo Delgado province of Mozambique.

Head of the delegation, Brigadier Jane Maphanyane from Lesotho said the purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of SADC Mission in Mozambique

The contingent commanders of both Lesotho and Tanzania, Commando Lieutenant Colonel Tefo Ramosie and Major Mvula Vaneko briefed the Regional Cordination Mechanism delegation on the situation on the ground, the troops’ successes and the challenges they are faced with as well as recommendations.

Colonel Tumelo Pule, on behalf of the delegation, expressed gratitude to both contingent’s leaders and promised them that, the information they have received from them, will enable them to make sound decisions. He also promised that, they will convey these to higher authorities.
