The Minister of Local Government and Chieftainship Affairs Mr. Lehlohonolo Moramotse says, he is not satisfied with the M509 million allocated to his ministry in this financial year.

Moramotse said the amount is not enough to carry out his ministry’s projects especially now when they are faced with immeasurable destruction of roads and bridges which have been washed away by torrential rains and need immediate attention

He appealed to the Minister of Finance to reconsider his decision and give his ministry additional funding during the reallocation of budget.

A Member of Parliament for Moyeni Mr. Mahooana Khati said, he supprts this allocation as it will enable the ministry to carry out its pending projects in the villages mentioning that he has personally buried many people who had been swept away by flooding Qomoqomong River, as there was no proper bridge to cross over the river.
