Crime Prevention, Rehabilitation and Re-Integration of Ex-Offenders Association will visit inmates at Correctional Institutions across the country, to root out gangsterism which seems to be on the high in villages. The Association’s President, Mr. Nkalimeng Mothobi said the objective is to find out from inmates if they are the o es behind gangsterism or manomorro as is commonly known in villages and to sensitize them about its negative impacts so that they could also help root it out.

Mothobi added that, they will also sensitize inmates about Gender Based Violence as most inmates who are serving sentences due to GBV still believe they are innocent. He said this is to ensure that they never re-engage in such acts when released from prison.

The association will also present COVID-19 safety equipment. He mentioned that some inmates have not received their COVID-19 booster vaccine yet, and as thus, appealed to the Ministry of Health to administer this vaccine to inmates as most of them have chronic illnesses.
