Lerotholi Polytechnic Vocational School has expressed its sadness over the murder of one of their prospective students.

The school’s statement read by the Rector Prof. Sepiriti Tlali, the school received a report from the Leribe police that four boys, three of whom are current students at the school, took the deceased to a river to do a school ritual. Prof Tlali said it is alleged that the boy lost his life at that river.

He said they were expecting this student at the school on the 22nd of this month but that will no longer be the case. The management of the school is also asking for the public’s help in fighting these heinous rituals which often result in the loss of life

To date, 9 students have lost their lives to these rituals at the Lerotholi Polytechnic.
