Residents of Mohlakeng on Gauteng’s West Rand in SA have burned shacks believed to belong to foreign nationals who are illegally in that country.

Reports show that these residents are calling for a total shutdown of illegal mines where some of them were heard shouting that illegal miners should go back to their country of Lesotho.

The violence has been prompted by the recent gang rape of eight women, allegedly by illegal miners in nearby Krugersdorp in the past week.
