The Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Motlalentoa Letsosa says Monontsá, Peka, Sephapho, Ramats’eliso and Makhaleng borders that were re-opened last week Friday are not to be used for commercial purposes.

Letsosa clarified that people who will be transporting their goods are still expected to cross at commercial borders such as Maseru, Maputsoe and Botha-Bothe among others.

He therefore urged the public to abide by border regulations such as presenting valid passports and other documents required when crossing the border.

Meanwhile, Qacha’s Nek District Administrator Mr. Mantsi Ts’eane said the re-opening of Ramats’eliso border post will particularly benefit Sehlabathebe, Matebeng and Mashai communities because it is closer to them as opposed to travelling to Qacha’s nek border where they incurred a lot of expenses.
