Qacha’s Nek community has demanded a firm commitment from the incoming Member of the Parliament who won this constituency.
One of the villagers Mr. Tankisang Mapuru said they have made it clear to the nominees before elections that, whoever will be elected an MP for Qacha’s Nek constituency no. 69, will have to sign an agreement which will enable them as a community, to use against the newly elected, if they fail to deliver as promised.
Mapuru said the agreement comprises infrastructure development which includes electrification of villages, water supply, establishment of a vocational school and job creation.
Results have shown that Qacha’s-Nek residents have elected new candidates from the Democratic Congress Party.
