Following a recent letter of grievances by Bacha Shutdown to the Prime Minister, Mr. Sam Matekane, the group’s president Mr. Tumelo Moteoli says they are hoping to get a positive response not later than Friday.

Moteoli said among issues which they would like the government to address is the high rate of youth unemployment in the country and establishment of youth and women’s fund.

He said they would like the government to introduce cash grants paid to unemployed Basotho and the eligibility criteria for such a grant should limit the number of beneficiaries to only the unemployed individuals aged between 18 to 59.

Moteoli said they are advocating for most vulnerable groups which desperately need assistance from the government mentioning that if they do not get a response before Friday, they will think of another way going forward.
