The Maseru Regional and Taxi Operators’ chairman, Mr. Mokete Jonase says, the increase in the number of illegal taxis sabotages transport business.

This he said following the influx of people being transported by pirate vehicles.

Mokete said the government has to address this issue, by ensuring that it enacts and implements laws that will help end this problem

One taxi driver from Maputsoe to ’Makhoroana route, Mr. Moruti Phiri expressed sadness over this matter saying, owner’s of illegal taxis should be given harsh punishment which will help deter others to do the same

Another driver from Mahlatsa to Ty, Mr. Tankiso Phehla also shared similar sentiments on how slowly this culture was killing the transport business.
