Kasi 501 Masters Football Club in Mokhotlong held a back to school and HIV/AIDS awareness event last Saturday.
Speaking at the event, the Club’s Vice President Mr. Thabiso Sefeane said the event was meant to create awareness on HIV prevention.
Sefeane said it is important to participate in activities that promote good health and to show the community that HIV/AIDS prevention is everyone’s responsibility.
The Senior District HIV and TB Counsellor Ms. Limpho Saoana urged all to protect themselves against new HIV infections so that Lesotho would be rid of new infections by 2030.
Saoana said prevention of HIV by being faithful, abstaining, using protection and adhering to treatment is key in the fight against new infections. She commended the football club and other stake holders for their efforts.
