The Prime Minister Mr Sam Matekane visited Lesotho Defence Force’s contingent serving under the SADC’s mission in Mozambique last weekend.

The Prime Minister Mr Sam Matekane visited Lesotho Defence Force’s contingent serving under the SADC’s mission in Mozambique last weekend.

According to the Prime Minister’s Press Attache Mr Thapelo Mabote, the aim of the visit was to see for himself, how the situation on the ground in Mozambique was

Mabote said the Prime Minister discovered that resources were limited even though the contingent is still executing its mission. He said that the challenges will be tabled before the cabinet and there will be deliberations with the Commander of LDF.

Meanwhile, LDF’s spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Sakeng Lekola said challenges facing the officers include malaria and logistics which cannot be revealed for security purposes.
