Mokhotlong Police are investigating a murder case of a 56-year-old man who is an employee of Standard Lesotho Bank was found dead on Monday morning.

Senior Inspector Haleeo Leluma of the Mokhotlong Police Station said the victim is alleged to have left his home on Monday morning at around 4:00am without telling anyone where he was going.

He said at around 8:00am the same day, they received a report that the body of a man was discovered by some women who went to fetch firewood. His body was found at the bottom of a cliff at Checha with several open wounds.

A suicide note was also found in the deceased’s car but its authenticity is yet to be verified. Investigations are continuing
