Security forces have recovered the second body of the boys who had drowned in the Mokhotlong river. Senior Inspector Haleeo Leluma of the Mokhotlong police said that army and police divers retrieved the first body on Tuesday while the second one was found yesterday.
Snr Insp. Leluma said that both these boys were pupils at LECSA primary school and were part of the other six who had gone to the river to swim when they returned from school on Monday.
The principal of the school Mrs. Mamoltsane Monare said that the death of these students, aged between 13 and 14, has broken their hearts. Monare also appealed to children to stop swimming in these rivers which are currently overflowing due to recent torrential rains.
