A member of #Bacha shutdown Mr. Resetselemang Jane says Lesotho’s problems are intentionally created by those in power.
In an interview with this station, Jane said looking at the government‘s spending on the prime minister’s international trips when the minister of finance has claimed that the government does not have money, it is a clear indication that those in power do not care about reviving the country’s economy.
He said despite the high cost of living especially the skyrocketing food prices, the government continues to add more expenses, with the less fortunate being the ones who suffer the most.
He said the government should focus on more critical issues such as re-opening of textile factories which the majority of Basotho depend on.
On behalf of the youth, Jane appealed to the government to focus on creating jobs and projects to support the youth instead of spending on expensive trips that do not benefit the country.
