Petroleum Fund in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy held a stake holders meeting this afternoon, the first since the advent of Covid-19 pandemic to discuss various issues that will help improve the oil sector.
According to Petroleum Fund operations officer Mrs. Khahliso Sebeko- Leleka, their aim is to improve services in the oil industry in terms of distribution, storage and pricing in the country.
Sebeko-Leleka said their aim is also to ensure that consumers enjoy services while at the same time filling stations and oil dealers are also on the right track as far as service delivery is concerned.
She said among other challenges filling stations have encountered in a long time is shortage of oil supply saying, they are working hard to address this challenge.
On the positives, Petroleum Fund has introduced mobile filling stations that will strictly be owned by Basotho and be stationed in the highlands to close the gap of oil supply in those areas.
