The Quthing District’s Health Manager, Dr. Mpeile Mokhahlane has expressed the need for Lesotho and South Africa to strengthen ties in health issues, as this will help fight communicable diseases.

The Quthing District’s Health Manager, Dr. Mpeile Mokhahlane has expressed the need for Lesotho and South Africa to strengthen ties in health issues, as this will help fight communicable diseases.

Speaking at the district cross border committee meeting held at the District Administrator’s office to address cross border issues, Dr. Mokhahlane said there is a need for coordination of health services for effective service health delivery, to patients that access different health services from both these countries.

She also raised concern over the challenge of surveillance of communicable diseases between these two countries, adding that strengthened efforts are needed in this regard
