Women and girls of Ha- Poulo in Leribe held a protest walk had over the weekend to condone the brutal killing and rape of a 20-year-old girl who was mentally handicapped.

On behalf of the participants, Mrs. Maposholi Posholi told PCFM news department that the walk came after a public gathering with the area chief, Mr. Caswel Molapo regarding this heinous incident.

She said the victim’s body was found last week Thursday near an intersection of Mohokare and Khomokhoana Rivers with strangulation signs around her neck and raped as well.

This was not the first time the victim was raped where the suspect was arrested and later released on bail.
