Proceedings in the murder trial against some members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) who are accused for the death of Brigadier Maaparankoe Mahao, will resume on the 27th to the 31st of this month.
The adjournment comes after the prosecution brought in another witness, Mrs. Mamotebang Ramashamole of Mokema, Ha-Lekete, who narrated that on that fateful day of the 25th June, 2015 while at her residence, she heard three successive gun sounds, adding that she thought it was the sound of an exhaust pipe.
She stated that she then spotted four vehicles on the road with three or more men where one of them was holding a rifle.
Mrs. Ramashamole further told the court that after she had rushed into her house to alert some men who were working there about what she witnessed, she then saw those men putting something at the back of one of those vehicles as its cover was closed. At least nine members of the army including Former Army Commander, Tlali Kamoli stand accused in this trial. The case is before Justice Charles Hungwe.
