The Minister in the prime Minister’s office, Mr Limpho Tau says the re-launch of the cleaning campaign today, is meant to kick start major responsibility by his government to promote clean environment.

Mr Tau made this remarks today where he indicated that the government decided to take a different approach in ensuring save and clean environment, where Prime Minister led in cleaning different parts of Maseru town.

He indicated that this initiative will be carried out every Friday of every month. Meanwhile, Prime Minister, Mr Ntsokoane Matekane said the level of untidiness in the country is increasing at an alarming rate, and thus pollutes the environment.

Mr. Matekane said if this situation is not brought to control, it poses a threat to the eco-system. He further indicated that in order to encourage cleanliness, the cleanest town will a price and there will be speedy implementation of the plastic levy.
